American life

The fact that people strugle with day to day life is sad to see. I think that alot of it is lack of prioritising and alot with people have way to much going on in their lives. We dont all choose what we have going on and I can tell you that from experience. I have now taken on taking care of my grandmother due to her not allowing anyone else to help her with anything. I wish that she would have stayed healthier until I got done with school but this is why I am going to school to take care of my family and close friends as they get older. I think that it is sad that in family life both parents have to work just to make ends meet and most the time they dont even make the ends meet and the whole family is running around trying to make their lives function because both parents are working. When both parents work that puts alot more responsibility on a child at a younger age making the child grow up faster then they used to have to. It's hard to have a child or children in society today because we have created a place where everyone is always on the go and always has something to do or somewhere to be.

  1. I feel the same, American life is very busy and it is changing day by day. Parents are working hard to make enough money to satisfy their children’s needs. Children have many responsibilities at their younger ages such as helping out parents with house chores and taking care of their younger siblings etc.

  2. People do struggle daily with life; making ends meet, putting food on the table, trying to do the best for our kids, etc. Our society is pushing people to keep up! I do feel however, that with the recession some people have slowed down and come back to the "family". I know in my family the shift was toward more of our intimate family circle rather than outward.
